Carmenes del Mar survey

Mon, 24/07/2017 - 11:11 -- admin

A student of Physical Geography at Durham University in the UK has chosen as the subject of her dissertation the damage to property and infrastructure caused by landslides in Carmenes del Mar. As part of her research she is inviting people who have owned or rented property in Carmenes del Mar to take part in a survey. The survey is completely anonymous, and results will be shared with the Geography Department at Durham University and a team of researchers at the University of Granada.

The survey is very short and should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. If you would like to take part, you can find it at the following website: Investigating Residents' Opinions of Property Damage in Carmenes del Mar.

As I regular visitor to our friends who live on the higher unaffected level - but still have to use the dangerous road up, I really don't understand firstly why aren't the Spanish authorises following the strict EU health and safely laws like UK do, and why is no one approaching the court of Human Rights and making use of the privilege of having this??
How can they get away with risking people's lives in the area and doing nothing to solve this major issues and do the decent thing legally for their citizens?
